About Bear Creek Youth Leauge!
The Bear Creek Youth League is hosted at the Oneida Sports Complex. The Oneida Sports Complex at Bear Creek is a testament to hard work and dedication. After several years in the making, the Town of Oneida’s Sports Complex at Bear Creek was finally completed in 2009. The complex was built on land that had been strip-mined for coal, using mostly federal dollars. Today, lush, green sod covers land that was once considered useless, creating a beautiful ballpark enjoyed by hundreds of children throughout the community. The facility includes various amenities including softball, middle school baseball and regulation high school baseball—and a pair of soccer fields, along with press boxes, concession stands, playground, bike track, and restroom facilities. The Bear Creek Youth League currently consists of approximately 300 plus children, in which all are from Scott County. The league has six divisions ranging from 4 to 12 years in age; Tee ball, 6u, 8u, majors or 12u (baseball) and softball.
